CANOPIES

The WeatherBreaker^TM is a canopy that attaches to wheelchairs or scooters to protect you from the sun and rain. It's great for getting to and from work, daily errands, waiting at the bus stop ... whenever you need it!

The Canopy fits any wheelchair or scooter. The canopy itself is generic, but the mounting kit will vary slightly depending on the make and model of your wheelchair or scooter.  When you order, you will be asked the make and model of your wheelchair or scooter.  When you receive your canopy, it will include all the parts that you need to mount it to your vehicle.


How does it attach to my wheelchair/scooter? It will take you approximately 15-20 minutes to attach the 2 mounting poles to your wheelchair/scooter.  These are black poles approximately 8" tall and less than an inch in width so they will not interfere with the normal operation of your wheelchair/scooter.  Once the mounting poles are attached, then the canopy slips in and out.

What are the different choices of canopy models? The Base Model is made of solid fabric and is less expensive.  The Vented Model is similar, however, it has mesh material on the sides and back instead of solid fabric.  The Vented Model is more popular because it provides more ventilation for heat protection while still sufficiently protecting from sunlight and rain.  The Max Protection Model is the same as the Vented Model, however you also receive plastic drapes that cover your sides from canopy top to seat bottom to give you maximum protection.  The plastic drapes slip over your canopy and are easily removeable.

Ordering your Canopy
When ordering, please specify the following 4 items:

3. Size Choice: Adult Size Pediatric 4. The Make & Model of your Scooter/Wheelchair? Note: By stating the Make/Model of your scooter/wheelchair, you will receive the appropriate mounting kit (examples below) that you will need to mount your canopy.

It is easy to use and store? Yes.  After slipping it off of your vehicle, you can leave it fully assembled.  If you need to store it in a smaller space or take it with you, you can take 20-30 seconds to disassemble the frame (5 interlocking pieces) and put it back in it's stuff sack (included). The stuff sack can then be put away, or hung behind your wheelchair/scooter to take it with you.

Will insurance pay for a canopy?  If you have a condition that is worsened by heat, sunlight, or sun rays, OR if you take a photosensitive medication (i.e. most antibiotics, seizure control medications, etc.) then speak with your doctor, therapist, or case worker to see if the WeatherBreaker is recommended.

TRAYS

The MegaTray^TM wheelchair tray provides the maximum in durability and resilience.   Constructed from 3/8" polycarbonate material, the MegaTray can withstand anything that a wheelchair user dishes out!.  The fused bottom-up design, which leaves the transparent surface flush from mounting screws or hardware, is also optimal for sanitation and ease of use.  Dimensions:  Std. Adult 23 1/2"W x 22"D, cutout 15 1/2"W x 10"D.  Std. Pediatric 19 1/2"W x 18"D, cutout 11 1/2"W x 7"D.

MightyTray wheelchair trays attach to almost any wheelchair armrests with FastClampsTM or reinforced velcro strap plates (not shown).

FastClampsTM easily attach the MegaTray or MightTray to most armrests. With FastClamps, the MegaTray or MightyTray slides into place and secures tightly, adjusting to varying heights, widths and armrest styles. FastClamps are designed for fast on-off use, so they're ideal for easy transfers and quick-response to choking, seizures and other emergency situations!

MiniTray^TM Convenient for writing, eating, using laptops, etc. When you're done, just flip it over, and slide out of the way! No more eating on your lap, or using a laptop on your lap with the MiniTray.  Simply attach the MiniTray brackets to your scooter or powerchair armrest.
When you need it, flip it up from the side.  When not in use, flip it back down like an airline tray!  It's perfect for scooter users who want a stable eating or writing surface.  And it's ideal for powerchair users who don't need a full tray ... no need to customize around joysticks because the MiniTray attaches to either side armrest.  Available in clear polycarbonate or birchwood.

COVERS

The WeatherBee^TM covers your scooter or wheelchair from moisture and dust when being stored or transported. It's durable, but it's also lightweight and easy to handle if your mobility is limited! To use, simply slip over your vehicle. Secure underneath using the locking drawstring and grommets for elastic cords (cords not included). Don't let the elements ruin your investment!  Models also available for Power Wheelchairs and Folding Wheelchairs (not shown)


Joystick Cover^TM protects by slipping over the top of your joystick, then your hand can slide under the cover for normal operation. See-through plastic top also lets you operate from outside the cover.


WeatherMuff ^TM is a 2-piece cover that shields your scooter seat and tiller.  Moisture can slip into the vulnerable exposed areas of your controls to cause electrical problems.   The tiller cover slips over the top of your controls, then your hands slide into the openings for normal operation.

So your hands stay dry...warmer, too.  It's insurance for your controls against break-downs and repair costs!  The seat cover protects your seat from moisture.  You can also sit in your seat while the cover is on.  Locking drawstring keeps it tight around the base of your seat. (Tiller or Seat Cover also available separately.)


WeatherChaps ^TM lap, leg and feet cover keeps you drier than a poncho because its fits snugly around your lower body, instead of draping over it. Wet feet are a thing of the past! Simply slip your feet into the bottom pocket, then pull it over you lap and legs for waterproof protection. The WeatherChaps bottom is contoured so nothing gets caught in your wheels and there's no need to leave your seat to put it on. Optional fleece lining provides extra warmth...great for ballgames and getting around!


SleeveGuards ^TM Dirt and moisture can ruin expensive clothes.  So can wheel wear.  SleeveGuards slip over your forearms to protect your jacket and shirt sleeves.  Once you get where you're going, slip them off of your clean sleeves.

The Buddy System

Includes all of the helpful hands that you need during the day.  A handy cupholder for your drinks, clipboard/tray for eating or writing, utility pouch for all of your little stuff, and a mounting receiver for your wheelchair or scooter. Connect the receiver in minutes, then easily slip the items in and out when you need them.  A Deluxe Kit is also available with an extra receptor for using 2 items simultaneously, and storage bag.
